Later on penultimate track ‘Love Has Led Us Astray’, lead vocalist Geoff Rickly basically has an Ian Curtis (Joy Division) moment. Thankfully, what seems dubiously derivative on paper ends up a thoroughly impressive piece, as all members of Thursday effectively .

Above all other songs on the record, I regard "Love Has Led us Astray" as not only the best on this record, but one of the best Thursday has ever written. Thursday has not only hit a homerun, but they smashed the ball out of the park. In my opinion, they couldn't have created a better record.

Magnetic North is the fourth full-length album released by the hardcore band Hopesfall. Josh Brigham, one of the guitarists and the only founding member remaining during the recording of the album, has said: "Our music has always been spacey and heavy, and we use those roots, combined with our love of grunge-era Smashing Pumpkins, Dinosaur Jr., HUM, and Pixies, we add some bigger, heavier riffs.5/5(5).

"Love Has Lead Us Astray" is like a more modernized and melodic Slint track, while closer "You Were The Cancer" is probably my favorite ending song Thursday has composed. This is quite possibly the best Thursday record and I strongly recommend giving it a listen.
